What value will this hybrid government be for crime victims?

Well we were overwhelmed with the misery for absence of choice in this general election and have found a coalition will rule over us.

There’s been much discussion and forewarning about cuts but I’ve not heard much talk about reviving our beleaguered public services. Indeed, this hybrid government has nothing to be thankful the recently removed Labour government who managed over a decade to destroy the core of many public services. However without comprehensive and competent public services and staff how will crime victims fare? Is it even worth asking what is going to happen to the pernicious cost-cutting Criminal Injuries Compensation Act (1995) introduced with lightening speed by the newly elevated (Lord) Michael Howard when Home Secretary; will it be further cuts in compensation for innocent victims?

It is a grim time to be living in Britian. What value will this hybrid government be for crime victims and where do they place the diverse public service needs of crime victims?
